Welcome to Punjab Degree College

Punjab degree college, Mehmuana was started in 2016, it's the main and esteemed campus of PUNJAB GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS. PDC is the result of a notable endeavor made by the Gurdev Educational Society to impact holistic education to the youth of Faridkot, especially the rural areas, falling in its vicinity.
An affiliate of the Punjabi University, Patiala it is situated on Faridkot-Sadiq Road, in the village Mehmuana. Its almost 6 km from Sadiq and 12 kms from Faridkot.

The college boasts of a high-class infra structure, for both academic and sports. A fully furnished and well-equipped building, spacious sports arenas, and a peaceful environment, all contribute to the growth of a sound academic ambience in the campus. State of the art classrooms, laboratories for the various disciplines and a huge knowledge bank in the form of rich Library resources make PDC stand out from the rest. PDC has a distinctive profile-rural in ambience but modern in its approach. Nature has blessed the college with lush green surroundings and a totally unpolluted environment.

Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging

Ragging is a criminal offence as per the Supreme Court verdict. Ragging is an offence under penal code and under section 116 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983 (Karnataka Act No.1 of 1995), which define ragging as: “Causing, inducing, compelling, or forcing a student, whether by way of practical joke By intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining, or injuring him or by using criminal force on him/her or by holding out to him/her any threat of intimidation, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force.”
